Sometimes debts can drown us and be an obstacle to the development of our lives. If you think you have too many debts and that you will never be able to get rid of them, you should take into account that there is a right to a second chance. The second chance allows you to cancel all your debts and confirm it in court after carrying out an extrajudicial negotiation with all the entities with which you have debts.
This method consists of using all available assets to cancel outstanding debts and remain at 0 even if the balance is negative. From the Consumers Union of Catalonia we can advise you to carry out the procedure and accompany you throughout the procedure, also helping with extrajudicial negotiation. Remember that all seizure procedures will also be paralyzed when the procedure begins <\/p>\n

The necessary requirements to be eligible for this right are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. My debts do not exceed 5 million euros.<\/li>\n
    2. I have not filed a bankruptcy application nor have I been declared bankrupt in the last 5 years.<\/li>\n
    3. I have not reached an out-of-court payment agreement with my creditors in the last 5 years.<\/li>\n
    4. I am not negotiating a refinancing agreement with my creditors, nor have I achieved one in the last 5 years.<\/li>\n
    5. I have not been convicted by final judgment, within the 10 years prior to the application, for the following crimes:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

      a) Against the heritage.
      b) Against the socio-economic order.
      c) Documentary falsification.
      d) Against the Public Treasury.
      e) Against Social Security.
      f) Against workers’ rights.<\/p>\n
