With the collaboration of the Celiac Association of Catalonia, we have updated the shopping cart study to have a list of basic and healthy gluten-free products for consumers.<\/p>\n

Differentiate between celiac disease and non-celiac gluten\/wheat sensitivity:
– The <\/span>Celiac<\/strong> disease is a disease, a permanent autoimmune multisystem disorder in genetically predisposed individuals, induced by the ingestion of gluten that causes atrophy of the villi of the small intestine that affects the ability to absorb nutrients from food, among other symptoms outside the digestive system.
\u2013 On the other hand, the <\/span>Non-celiac gluten\/wheat sensitivity<\/strong>, also popularly known as gluten intolerance \u2013 although erroneously \u2013 was first described in the late 1970s but has begun to be recognized and has been intensively studied since 2011. It is not yet known whether gluten is the cause of this disease and research is underway to determine whether other components of wheat, or cereals in general, could be involved (FODMAPS or ATIs). <\/p>\n
