Now that we are settled into the new school year, we want to know what the cost of returning to school means for Catalan families. The survey aims to establish an average on the cost that families have to face with the start of the new school year.

My electricity bill

The results of the survey show that 83.3% of respondents did not know what tariff they had contracted before the new regulations came into force. On the other hand, 66.7% understand the new electricity bill, although 83.3% do not consider it to be more understandable than the previous one. More than 50% consider that compared to the old model, the bill is more expensive.

Consumption habits and COVID-19

The results of the survey show that 77.1% of respondents have reduced the frequency with which they go out shopping. Almost 50% have seen their shopping basket spending increase by between 10% and 20%, most of them because they make all their meals at home. On the other hand, 58.7% of the problem they have had in terms of consumption has been with contracted services such as gyms.
