Health regulations

The food we buy both in supermarkets and in hospitality establishments must meet a series of minimums that guarantee optimal hygiene conditions for consumption. These minimum standards are reflected in regulations that establish the sanitary, preservation, and handling conditions of food products. If these standards are not met, food can become a vehicle for pathogens which, once ingested, may cause food poisoning, infections, or other illnesses resulting from spoiled products.
